Daikinban (the imperial standard [flag] for the ceremony of enthronement) (大錦旛)

The Daikinban is made of gold brocade and one of the imperial standards (flags) erected at Sokui no rei (ceremony of enthronement) in the garden in front of Shishinden (hall for state ceremonies).

Summary
There are two types for this standard (flag), one is patterned Yatagarasu (three-legged crow inhabiting the sun in Chinese mythology), and the other one is patterned Reisi (kite).

The former is embroidered Yatagarasu on five colored auspicious clouds brocade, hung on a pole and put up on the south side of Nissho toban (the flag with golden sun embroidered).

The latter is embroidered gold Reisi on five colored auspicious clouds brocade, hung on a pole and put up on the south side of Gessho toban (the flag with silver moon embroidered).
